Grain Elevator Scratch Build pt. 1

I have always been fascinated by grain elevators.  I always loved going to town with my dad or grandpa to haul wheat and barley and loved seeing the prairie skyscrapers.  I have scratchbuilt several elevators now based on prototypes.  My current project is of the EGT unit-train facility located outside of Fort Benton, MT.  I have been working on and off over the last several months and am getting close to getting the bins completed.

The 4 large bins are the Walthers kits.  The two smaller bins were used in an old model and I plan on cutting them down to proper height.  The leg and conveyor bridges are going to take some time to construct and I doubt I'll be getting this project done anytime soon.  Especially with hunting season just a few weeks away!

This model of elevator is found in several places around the state including here in Fort Benton, Chester, and I think outside of Conrad as well.  This specific elevator receives empty unit trains from Great Falls.
